1. Draw something. Anything! In my case, I used Sa.Ga sprites. They are so dramatic and funny.
For sprites like these, try using a smaller resolution. It'll work out later. I used 150x150.
2. Outlining is the next step. Make sure you DON'T line everything. It makes cleaning dots easier.
And plus, not everything has a thick outline. Except eyebrows.
3. Colour to your heart's content. Make sure you don't go way past your own train-tracks, conductor.
3-5 colours is good for a base.
4. Shade it using your preferred shading technique. Go Picasso if you want.
